Today, we continue the release candidate stage of 2.1 with Release Candidate 2. After a number of beta releases, the functionality of the product should be complete and the rate of bugs being reported (should) slow to a trickle, allowing the development team to work through the backlog and reduce the number of bugs to a handful. We have now reached this point in the development of XenForo 2.1, so the time is right to produce a release candidate. Today, we continue the beta stage of XenForo 2.1 with Beta 6. This release fixes a number of bugs found since the previous releases. Alongside this release, we have released 2.1.0 Beta 1 of each of our official add-ons. These include further adjustments to account for the changes and new systems present in 2.1 plus some smaller improvements: Both XFRM and XFMG now have basic API support. Both XFRM and XFMG now support auto marking some alerts as read when viewing relevant pages. XFRM external download buttons are now visually different from local download buttons. Today, we continue the beta stage of XenForo 2.1 with Beta 5. This release fixes a number of bugs found since the previous releases. Alongside this release, we have released 2.1.0 Preview 2 of each of our official add-ons. These include further adjustments to account for the changes and new systems present in 2.1. We strongly recommend anyone testing 2.1 during this beta period upgrade as each beta/preview version is released. XenForo 2.0.12 is now available for all licensed customers to download. We recommend that all customers running previous versions of XenForo 2.0 upgrade to this release to benefit from increased stability. This version makes a number of changes to improve compatibility with PHP 7.3.0. However, at this time, we do not recommend using PHP 7.3.0 in production due to a bug that can cause code to execute incorrectly, potentially leading to data loss. With XenForo 2.1 now in beta testing, and a year having passed since XenForo 2.0 became our stable, supported release, it is time to talk about our ongoing support for XenForo 1.5. XenForo 1.5 is now considered a legacy product and is no longer in active development. We will continue to support version 1.5 until May 31, 2019, but after this time no further maintenance releases are planned and we may direct you to upgrade to a supported version in order to provide technical support. Once the active support period has passed, we will only release new XenForo 1.5 versions if security flaws are identified.
