Today, we are pleased to release XenForo 1.4.2. This release fixes a number of bugs and issues that were found since the release of 1.4.0. As this is a maintenance release, the vast majority of the focus was an increase in stability. However, there have been several minor improvements: The IP of the user submitting a "Contact Us" form is now displayed in the email sent to the forum contact. The "Contact Us" form can use the 1.3-style method of headers with the "Sender info in From header on contact emails" option. A cross site request forgery (CSRF) issue has been identified in the SWFUpload library that XenForo uses. This issue may allow an attacker to make requests and carry out actions as you or one of your members. This issue affects all versions of XenForo available prior to this announcement. We recommend all customers take steps to apply a fix as soon as possible. If you have any questions about applying a fix, please post in the appropriate forum or submit a ticket. We are becoming increasingly confident with the stability of the 1.4 series and hope to release a supported version of 1.4 soon. What is a Release Candidate? After a number of beta releases, the functionality of the product should be complete and the rate of bugs being reported (should) slow to a trickle, allowing the development team to work through the backlog and reduce the number of bugs to a handful. XenForo Resource Manager 1.1.4 is a maintenance release for our resource manager add-on. We recommend all customers running XenForo Resource Manager 1.1 upgrade to 1.1.4 to benefit from increased stability. In addition to bug fixes, this release adds some small improvements: Support automatic XML sitemap building when used with XenForo 1.4 Respect the "Only send watched content alerts/emails to users active in last X days" option when triggering resource/update emails when used with XenForo 1.4 Add a new "Minimum Review Length" option. XenForo Enhanced Search (XFES) 1.1.1 is a maintenance release for our add-on that replaces XenForo's built in search engine with one powered by elasticsearch to provide greater performance and better search results. XFES 1.1.1 makes a small change to ensure compatibility with the upcoming elasticsearch 1.4 release. XFES 1.1.1 now uses Groovy for dynamic scripts in elasticsearch 1.3 or newer. This can allow dynamic scripting to be used in more situations. If you choose to disable the dynamic scripting option in XFES, please make sure you copy the scoring scripts in library/XenES/_scripts/ to your elasticsearch scripts directory.
